History and Specifications

M.S. Soleil, started as an idea early 1989 and became a reality October 1989 as this is the date when we started building it. She was finished by May 1991 and since then it has been cruising on the river Nile revealing the mysteries of the great Egyptian civilisation.

Built to the Loyd's specifications, Soleil is 61.5m long, 11.5m wide and 11.5 height from water level. She accommodates 64 guests in 2 suites, 30 double and 2 single cabins. It is powered by 2 caterpillar marine diesel engines. 2 generators each is 220KW with an output of 22v. On-board water treatment, central fire alarm, VHF radio and radar. Each cabin has individual climate control. Onboard facilities; indoor lounge, open air bar, boutique and a large swimming pool
